Site News

6/29/2011 The wheel offset & tire rolling diameter calculator is up and running.  We’re currently developing the wheel fitment database and gathering data for it.

6/22/2011 Website is fully functional now with the database search functionality in final beta testing.  If you find any bugs (especially if you’re a Microsoft Internet Explorer user), please let us know.  We’re still updating and adding new wheel data, and your data submissions/corrections are always welcomed.

Future Plans

Planned future additions:

  1. Database of vehicle fitment (PCD, centerbore, offset) – where you can look up specs about your car so you can search for the right wheels  (In progress)
  2. Once that is done, a way for you to enter your vehicle information (year, make, model, trim) and limit your wheel search to only wheels that fit your car
  3. To go along with that, a user database to store user information to remember your vehicle(s) so that you only search wheels relevant to your vehicle(s) — this will require a login/registration/”my account” process
  4. Wheel offset and plus-sizing calculator – a calculator that will show you how much your wheels will stick out compared to your stock or other wheel.  Also calculate the total rolling diameter of any plus-sizing so you can see how far off your speedometer will be.  (Completed 6/29/2011)
  5. Once we set this up, we’ll find a way to integrate it to your wheel search (such as: if you have a 1984 Buick Regal, we’ll show you what wheels fit and how much they will affect your speedometer and how much more or less they will stick out compared to your current setup)
  6. Database of tires and tire weights, specs, UTQG, speed and load index, etc.  — also integrate it so that for any wheel chosen, we’ll show you suggested tire sizes and tires that fit
  7. …and more (suggestions welcomed).

Notes & Disclaimer:

Data here on WheelData.net is provided as a free service to the automotive enthusiast community.  It is based on published specifications from manufacturers or retailers, information gathered on the internet or public websites, or submitted by enthusiasts like you.

While we do our best to keep the information here updated and correct, it is common sense to do further research to check wheel fitment to your vehicle yourself before using the information provided here.  This is particularly when it comes to brake caliper clearance, as that is highly variable on not only the offset, but the design of the wheel itself (i.e. how the spokes are designed/curved).
